God came down to earth on Moon Landing Day and has revealed Himself as Son of Man, Son of David, Lord God, First born, Son of God, Man Christ Jesus, Root and Off-spring of David, Lion of the Tribe of Judah, Narayana, Supreme Purusha, Saviour etc.

( Visible Form or Appearance of God )
Dearly Beloved In Christ Jesus,

This message offers the reader a precious treasure, which has remained a hidden mystery to our own days.

These are days when people in their quest for knowledge and enlightenment are deceived by the so-called Incarnations of God, Bhagwans, Avatars and Christs etc. as foretold by Jesus Christ Himself. Whenever there are false ones, it only proves the existence of an Original True one.

This unusual subject and content of this message not only deals with the Form or Appearance of God, but also opens the eyes of the reader to understand many other subjects connected therewith. The main aim of this message is to help the true seeker of the Truth to find out the True anointed one of God for this age - Christ, the Son of David.

Therefore the reader is requested to read the message very carefully line by line and word by word to avoid missing even a single thought until a fuller understanding of the theme is achieved.

The thoughts contained in this message were compiled gradually by me until it developed into a Wonderful Theme. This message was preached first in the Manujothi Ashram Tabernacle, Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu, India in May 1978. It was preached in this form at the Chennai Believers Assembly at Mark’s School, Periamet, Chennai on April 1st, 1979. Later on, in 1986, it was put in print and sent to many. Some precious brethren including the ones in Singapore, India etc. even took this message, altered it according to their taste and reproduced it as their own. I have nothing against them.

I have not secured any copyright for this message since I believe that no man has any right to copyright anything concerning the Word of God that is meant for the people of God. He is the only one who is the author and finisher of the mysteries of the Bible. He can seal up the mysteries and reveal them whenever He pleases to His people through the men He raises up in each age. No man can call them his own and copyright them.

When I was trying to bring this message out, I had to encounter very strong satanic opposition and also persecution. We know that God was pleased with Job for his fear of God and his uprightness. But Satan was constantly accusing Job to move the Lord against him to destroy him without cause. The Lord allowed Satan to have his way with Job except to take his life (Job 1: 6-12, 2: 1-6).

In the Book of Daniel too, we find that King Darius was favorably disposed towards Daniel. But in spite of it Darius had to send Daniel to the den of lions, yielding to the pressure applied by the Governors, Princes, Counsellors and Officers under him (Daniel 6: 1-28). Similarly I had to face much opposition and persecution and hatred due to jealousy amongst brethren. But the Lord had placed a determination in me to bring this message out anyway and therefore I did not care about the consequences as long as the truth reached the people of God.

The time is really short and it is time for the people of God to get to know the whole truth. I pray the blessings of God upon each reader; and may the Spirit of God open the understanding to see the glorious heritage prepared for them that love Him.

"When he shall appear, we shall be like him; For we shall see him as he is" (I John 3:2).
"As we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly" (I Corinthians 15:49).
The Bible tells us God created man in His own Image.  The word THEOPHANY means - Visible Form or Appearance of God - in Greek: THEO means God or Divine: and PHANY means Form, Visible Appearance or Image (Greek Lexicon - Strong’s numbers 5316, 5318, 5319, 5321, 5324-5326). This is a theological term used to denote the Form or Appearance of God.  This word is used strictly in this sense only throughout this message.  (For further clarification of anything concerning this message, the author Bro. Deva-Evu M. Lawrie may be contacted).
In this age of apostasy, we hear a lot of things said and done in the name of religion. There are hundreds of man-made doctrines everywhere, contrary to the Word of God. Things not in the Word of God, we are a little doubtful of, but things, which are said in the Word of God, are absolutely true. All the false things will be destroyed, but God’s Word will stand forever. Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will pass away but my words shall not pass away” (Luke 21: 33).

Anything that is founded on God’s Word is Eternal. People quote Scriptures at random and try to make things agree. That is where a student of the Bible tends to go wrong. But God is simple enough to be understood even by the common people (Matthew 11: 25, Luke 10: 21). God has been unchanging in His ways and has been working in Types, Shadows and Patterns. He never changes the pattern of His working (Hebrews 13: 8). What He did yesterday, He does it today and will do it tomorrow. All the godly characters in the Bible are Types of Christ and of the things of future to follow. Therefore to understand and to follow the Scriptures, it is always better to take the Word as a whole, taking the Types and Shadows and before accepting any doctrine, check to see that it has perfect types in the Scriptures, since the Past is a shadow of the Future. History keeps repeating itself (Ecclesiastes 1: 9).
Now this message on Theophany covers many little but very important subjects. At the time of the First Moon Landing in 1969 July 21st (IST), Bro. R. Paulaseer Lawrie was in Chicago and he had the revelation that God had descended to the earth on the First Moon-Landing day just as He had descended when the Tower of Babel was built. Prior to this, a Mount of Transfiguration incident too was reported. When Bro. Lawrie was preaching on Psalm 23, flames of fire came out of his eyes and struck down a man who came into the hall smoking. His face shone like the sun. Bro. Lawrie subsequently returned to India accompanied by an American Couple (Bro. Roger Gerard and his wife).

Bro. Lawrie declared that God had come down on the Moon-Landing day. I could agree with this statement since Moon-Landing was a greater tower of Babel. It was the only time in the history of mankind when all the people in the World were united as One looking forward to the Moon-Landing. (Even President Nixon had said that there never was a day like that in the history of the world when all the people of the world were united as one).

Then the American brother who had accompanied Bro. Lawrie to India went on still further to the extent of saying, “Jesus had come down into Bro. Lawrie”. I asked him how it could be different, as God was in him and other believers and me also as He was in Bro. Lawrie. Then the American brother answered and said, “In you and me Jesus lives as a Spirit, but in Bro. R.P. Lawrie, Jesus has come down with His body and is united with him”.

I could not understand it as I was wondering how one person’s body could come into another man and be united with him. This had been a question in my mind and I wanted it to be answered scripturally. When I prayerfully studied the Bible along with the messages of Bro. William Branham of U.S.A. and other inspired writings earnestly, God opened my eyes to see my question answered Scripturally and have many other questions and doubts cleared. I do hope this subject would clear many of the doubts the people of God may have in this End-Time Ministry and make them stand fast on the Word.
To start with, let us turn to II Corinthians 5: 1-10. Let us analyze the first four verses.

Verse 1: “For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens”.

Our earthly house of this tabernacle is the flesh body that we dwell in. When this body is dissolved, we have one waiting, Eternal in the heavens. What does the word “Eternal” mean? One would immediately say “Lasting for Ever” or “Never ending”. But let us go into it in a deeper sense. Anything that has a beginning has to have an end. Anything that has had no beginning does not have an end. This gives a new definition to the word “Eternity”. Thus we see that Eternity is a state, which has No Beginning, and No End whatsoever. Therefore this body that we are going to get is Eternal without Beginning and without End.

When we are in this flesh body, we always desire to get into that Eternal body waiting for our time. In this body we suffer and are tempted and tested by sin. When we want to do good, this flesh tends to do wrong. The spirit is quick but the flesh is weak. When the spirit tends to do good, our flesh does evil which we hate (Romans 7: 14-24). We always groan and desire for the time when we shed this flesh body to get into the Eternal body (Romans 8: 23).

In the Old Roman days, they had cruel punishments for great criminals and capital offenders. One such punishment is described as follows. The convicted criminal is taken and joined to a dead body of another human-being head to head, nose to nose, mouth to mouth, body to body and legs to legs, tied up to the corpse in that position and is left lying down until he passes out. When the dead body decomposes and the odour gets into the convict’s nostrils, he screams and shouts, “O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?” (Vide Romans 7: 24). This is how Apostle Paul felt about his flesh body. This is how we too feel about our flesh bodies. But, when we leave this body, we have the Eternal one waiting.

This gives rise to many questions concerning us such as given below: -

1. Where do we come from?
2. Where were we before the foundation of the world?
3. What form were we in then?
4. Why are we now in this sinful flesh?
5. What kind of body are we going to get? etc.

If we delve deeper, more questions would rise concerning the Deity such as follows: -

1. Who is God?
2. What form is He in?
3. What form was He in before anything was created?
4. What does the term “The Word of God” mean?
5. Is He a person with a form or just some unseen sound?
6. Who was Jesus?
7. How could He claim he was before Abraham (John 8: 58) or He was before the foundation of the world (John 17: 5) when He was just about 30 years old?
8. Was Jesus of the Seed of David?
9. If He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and not of the Seed of David, Who is the real Seed of David (Psalm 89: 4) that should rule the Millennium?
10. What is meant by the word “Christ” or “Word in Flesh”?
11. What is the sign of the Holy Ghost?
12. Is there really a trinity of three persons in the Godhead? Etc.

To understand this further, let us get into it a little bit deeper.
Let us turn to Hebrews 7: 1-4 and study this portion.

“For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;

"To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;"

"Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually".

"Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils”.

Who is this Great Person Melchizedec? Some people say He was not a Person, but a Priesthood. But the Bible says Abraham gave him Tithes and therefore He had to be a Person to receive the Tithes. Some others say He was an angel. But angels were created beings and therefore had a beginning. But the Bible says that Melchizedec had no father, no mother, no beginning of days nor end of life. Whoever He is, He is still alive today and is an Eternal Person. That could be only one person and that is God (I Timothy 6: 15-16) as God is the only immortal Person.

In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. But before there was a beginning, before anything was created, there was nothing existing except God alone. He was a Great Fountain of Spirit, going forth full of love, peace, righteousness, etc., dwelling alone with His attributes (inherent characters). He was unseen and had no form. He was all Glory; a Great Light that no man can approach unto, Eternal without Beginning or End. But He had His thoughts (Plans).

In His thoughts, He had His attributes as Healer, Saviour, Redeemer, Life-Giver, etc. As a Saviour, He knew whom he was going to save before anything was created. As a Healer, He knew whom He was going to heal, before anything was created. As a Redeemer, He knew whom He was going to redeem, before the foundation of the world. This is what we understand as the Foreknowledge of God (Romans 8: 28-29). Those who have Eternal Life today were with Him in His thinking (Foreknowledge or Plan) before there was an angel, a star, etc. That was when the Book of Life came into view. Let us read Revelation 13: 8. “And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, (the beast) whose names are not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world”.

We all know that Jesus died as a Lamb of God about 2000 years back. But here it says that the Lamb was slain before the foundation of the world. How is it possible? Let us suppose a builder starts constructing a house. First of all, he draws a blueprint of the plan of the house and then completes the building in say about two year’s time. Then you might very well say that this house was built two years back in his mind or thoughts when he drew the blueprint. Similarly, it can be said that the Lamb was slain before the foundation of the world in the Thoughts or Plan of God and our names put in the Book of Life before the foundation of the world.
Please read very carefully what is said further. As we saw earlier, in His thoughts, He had His attributes as we saw before such as being a Saviour, Healer, Redeemer, Full of Love etc. A thought expressed is a Word and God expressed His thoughts in the form of the Word. The term “WORD” does not mean just a voice or sound, but it was also a body called THE WORD or as the theologians call it, “THE THEOPHANY”. God as the Great Fountain of Spirit began to form in the creation and the LOGOS that went out from it was called “THE SON OF GOD”, or THEOPHANY or The WORD (A body).

In other words, before there was a beginning, God was a Great Fountain of Spirit without beginning or end having no visible form. But when there was a Beginning and Time began, He became the Word (called The Son of God - a body). It was the only visible form that the Spirit had. And it was a Theophany, which means a body, and the body was like a man. (The word “Theophany” means - Appearance of God or Express Image of God). Moses saw it when it passed through the rock and he said it looked like the hind part of a man. That Theophany was the Son of God. That Son Logos became flesh here and dwelt among us (John 1: 1-4,14). His first being was Spirit, Supernatural and Eternal. Then He began to form Himself in a Theophany called the WORD - a body (without flesh). This is the state in which Melchizedec appeared when Abraham met Him.

A Theophany is something you cannot see. It is like the Television Signal. The picture is right in your room, but the five senses cannot see. But transformed by a Television, it can be seen. But whether a television is tuned on or not, the picture is right in the room, which the five human senses do not pick up. A Theophany can appear and disappear and pass through walls and closed rooms. Jesus after resurrection could appear and disappear and pass through closed doors. He appeared to His disciples in a closed room. He claimed He was not a Spirit. Thomas could put his hand and feel His body. But He was not in the earthly body either. He had become the Word or Theophany again. Balaam could not see the Angel of the Lord, whereas his ass could see Him (Numbers 22: 21-35). God had been revealing Himself through His Word or Theophany throughout the ages.

“No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him” (John 1:18). If anyone claims to have seen God, it is the Son of God he has seen because The Son or The Word is the Express Image of the Unseen God and all His inherent characteristics (Hebrews 1: 3, Colossians 1: 15-16). “All things were made by Him”-The Word (John 1: 1-4).

It was He who walked in the Garden of Eden and had fellowship with Adam and Eve (Genesis 3: 8-11). It was He whom Jacob wrestled with (Genesis 32: 24-30). When Moses saw Him face to face, He was in the Theophany (Exodus 33: 11). It was He who talked to Abraham and Jacob (Genesis 17: 22, 35:13). When Manoah received instructions regarding Samson’s birth from The Angel of the Lord, He looked like an ordinary man. Only when He went up, Manoah knew he and his wife had seen God (Judges 13). It was the same Word that came down as the Fourth (4th) man in the furnace with Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego whom even the heathen king Nebuchadnezzar recognized as the Son of God (Daniel 3: 24-25).

Wherever the Bible says “The Word came and spoke to the prophet”, it was the Theophany that came to the prophet who had been a prepared vessel in order to receive the Word. Besides being called The Word, Theophany, Son of God and Melchizedec, He was also known as The Only Begotten Son, The First Born, The Lord God, Holy One, The Angel of the Lord, The Beginning of the creation of God etc. He had no beginning because He was the beginning. When the Sin question came, The Son of God (Word) became flesh in Jesus Christ. God was the Word (Theophany) before He became flesh. In other words, God was in the Word Body (Theophany body) before He came into a flesh body. In that form He knew all things from Beginning till End. (The Hindus refer to this same person as Narayana or the Supreme Purusha or The Aadhi Purusha.)
God first took the Word form. Then He became Flesh. But we were in the thoughts of God and from the thoughts of God, we came straight into flesh by By-Passing the Theophany. When this earthly body is dissolved, we have one already waiting if we had been in the thoughts (foreknowledge) of God’s plan of Redemption. The redeemed body is the Word body. But we have not yet become the Word but we are only flesh-beings. You will never be the Word unless you were a thought at the beginning. If we had taken the Word body before coming to the flesh body, we would have known everything. We would not have fallen in sin. But in order to stand temptation, we had to By-Pass the Word body (Theophany) and come straight down to flesh. God became word, then became flesh and then returned back to the Word. We By-Pass the Theophany and become flesh man to be tempted by sin and tested by the Word. Then when this earthly tabernacle of this body is dissolved, we already have an Eternal one waiting (Romans 8: 29, I Corinthians 15: 49, Philippians 3: 21, I John 3: 2).

To quote examples from the Bible, let us take a few prophets to whom the Word came. Moses was a Word Prophet. One day he died upon a rock and was buried, no one knew where. Elijah was taken up without death. Hundreds of years later, the same two men stood upon the Mount of Transfiguration. They were in such a form that even Peter, James and John recognized them. That was their Theophany they had entered into (Matthew 17: 1-3, Mark 9: 1-3). Samuel was a great prophet. He died and was buried. A few years later, King Saul was in trouble. The witch of Endor called for someone to come and console Saul and when the witch saw Samuel standing up, she said, “I see gods ascending out of the earth”. Samuel still had the same appearance and was still a prophet. Even in that appearance, what he prophesied regarding Saul came to pass (I Samuel 28: 11-19). Even though he was gone from his flesh body, he was part of that Word. He entered from the flesh life into the Theophany (yet to be redeemed). All the believers enter into the Theophany when our life here is over. (See the attached Chart).
Now we see who Melchizedec was. He was God, the Word before He became flesh. In other words, He was the Word without flesh. Now, what is the difference between Jesus and Melchisedec?

1. Jesus had Father and mother. Jesus always spoke of His Father and He was conceived of the Holy Spirit. Jesus had an earthly mother in Mary, which cannot be denied. But Melchizedec had no father and no mother.

2. Jesus (the flesh body of Jesus) had a certain time that He began on this earth. A time came when he went off the earth. We do not know him after the flesh anymore (II Corinthians 5: 16) because He became the Word again. Jesus said, “Things concerning me have an end” (Luke 22: 37). But Melchizedec had no Beginning and No End.

3. Jesus said he had power to lay down His Life and take it again (John 10: 17,18). Jesus laid down His Life. But Melchisedec could not, because He was Life Himself. What does it really mean then? The Word was Life and that Theophany body (or Melchizedec Himself) had come down into the prepared flesh body of Jesus so that Jesus could lay it down.

The importance of the study of Melchizedec can never be over-emphasized. Apostle Paul says that there are many things about Him that can be mentioned. But the believers in His days were not able to understand them. Paul says strong meat such as this belongs to those who are spiritually adults of full age (Hebrews 5: 10-14).
For the Word or Theophany to come into flesh, it requires a pure sinless body. Therefore Jesus had to come by a new life cell created in the womb of Virgin Mary by the Holy Ghost. The human male had nothing whatsoever to do with this conception. He was a New Creation or New Adam. He was prepared for thirty years from the time of His birth. Until then He was a son of God in the sense that Adam too was a son of God (Luke 3: 38). But from the time of His baptism by John the Baptist when God descended into Him in the fullness of the Word, He was the anointed Son of God incarnate.

From then on, all the titles of the Word such as Son of God, Son of Man, First Born, Beginning of God’s creation, The Only Begotten Son, Lord God, and Holy One etc. could be attributed to Jesus, because inside his body dwelt the very Word who had all these titles. Jesus also could claim that He was before Abraham, because the very Theophany that appeared to Abraham was inside Jesus. Jesus also could claim He was with the Father before the foundation of the world because the very Word was inside Him. This answers the question “How can the Word descend into a man bodily and unite with him”.
We can see in the Bible about the stages of God descending to human level. Daniel was privileged to see this in a three-stage vision. Let us turn to Daniel 10: 5-9. In these verses, Daniel first sees a Glorious Vision of a Man. This was a vision of the Son of God (Theophany) with the Glory of God. In this context, you may recall the prayer of Jesus in John 17:5, “O Father, Glorify thou me with thine own self which I had with thee before the world was”. When Daniel saw this vision there was no strength in him, he was in a deep sleep and his face to the ground. Our physical bodies cannot stand this glory.

The Bible says no man can see God and live (Exodus 33: 20). It means that this flesh cannot stand the Glory of God. Therefore we see Daniel falling into a deep sleep when he saw the Glory of God. Ezekiel too saw a similar vision twice (Ezekiel1: 26-28, 3:23). Both the times he fell on his face when he saw it. In the New Testament, the three disciples Peter, James and John saw the same kind of Glory on the Mount of Transfiguration and they were sore afraid and fell on their faces (Matthew 17: 1-2, Mark 9: 1-3, II Peter 1: 17). John the Apostle also saw a similar vision of His Glory (Rev. 1: 13-18) and fell down as though dead when he could not stand the Glory of God.

Secondly, in the same vision we find, Daniel sees Him again as one like the similitude of the sons of men (Daniel. 10:16-17). This time he did not fall on his face. This was just the Theophany without the glory and Daniel calls Him “My Lord”. This is the appearance to which the prophets had access, when the Word came to them. The prophets were chosen vessels and prepared by God in order to receive the Word of God. The Word could come only to them and we see that throughout the Scriptures. Daniel was still afraid when he saw this appearance. He was afraid even to speak to Him. He had no strength in him.

Thirdly, in Daniel 10:18 we find “Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me”. Daniel saw one like the appearance of a man who strengthened him. This was the appearance in flesh. This is the appearance of Christ for whom Michael stands (verse 21). These three appearances are not of three different persons but of just one person and Daniel calls Him “Lord”. To sum up, the First appearance was in Theophany with the Glory of God. The Second was just the Theophany without the Glory, and the Third was the Theophany hidden in flesh. When he saw the flesh appearance, Daniel was strengthened, whereas the First appearance made him fall down unconscious and the Second one made him remain in fear. (Please look into the subject references b and e of The Scofield Reference Bible in the middle of the page in Daniel 10.)

Let us look into a couple of examples from the Scriptures. When the Israelites came out of Egypt, God’s Glory came down on Mount Sinai. When the People saw the thunders, lightnings, cloud, smoke and fire, God warned the people not to come near the mountain to gaze at the Lord nor to touch the mountain whether it be beast or man lest they die. And the people trembled. The people were afraid to hear God directly speaking to them and they wanted to hear Him speak through Moses. (Ex 20: 9-25). Then the Lord spoke to Moses directly by the Word face to face. Those to whom the Word came were called gods (John 10:35, Exodus 7: 1) and in a partial sense Moses was god in flesh or the Word in flesh for that age because Moses had the Word. The Word came to Moses. But when the Word was veiled in flesh as Moses, the people lost their fear and were strengthened. They could talk to Moses, murmur against him etc., which they could not do directly with the Lord in his Theophany form or the Glorious form.

Similarly the prophets of God were prepared vessels to receive the Word of God in each age. The Word of God (Theophany) came to them. But when the fullness of the Word was made flesh in Jesus, He could talk to the people and strengthen them. His words were full of Grace. The people were not afraid of Him. They touched him, handled Him and even went to the extent of crucifying Him, which is unthinkable in the Theophany form or in the Glorious form.

All the Worship is to be extended to the Glorious Throne of the Unseen God, the Father. We find Jesus Christ teaching His disciples to pray to the Father in heaven. (Matthew 6: 9-13, Luke 11: 2-4, John 17). When Jesus was received up to the throne and went back to the Father, The Father’s name for worship changed from Jehovah in the Old Testament to Jesus in the New Testament which was manifest in power from the Pentecostal day (John 16: 22-28). In the Book of Revelation we find John the Apostle falling prostrate at the feet of the Angel of the Lord to worship him. But the Angel of the Lord forbade him from doing so and commanded John to worship God (Revelation 19: 9-10, 22: 8-9).
The significance of this message assumes even greater importance today since we live in a generation that is ordained to see the Word of God manifesting himself in the flesh again. We know that the Word manifests Himself in the flesh in three names: - Son of God, Son of Man and Son of David. Jesus came as the Son of God and He was a sinless seed of God into whom the Word of God came down united with Him as Word in Flesh. Before Jesus came, the Word was manifest in part through the prophets as a type and they were chosen and purified and prepared so that the Word for that age could be given to them. They were not supposed to defile their bodies in any way. But when the fullness of The Word had to come it required a totally sinless and pure body. Jesus was the chosen vessel and His body was prepared without blemish so that the Word could come into Him bodily in fullness. In him dwelt all the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Colossians 2: 9).
In these last days, God manifests himself in flesh as the Son of Man and then as Son of David to sit on the throne of David. God had promised David that He would set up his seed after him and that He would establish his throne forever. Please read the following scriptures before proceeding further (II Samuel 7: 12-19, I Chronicles 17: 11-17, Psalm 89: 3-4,19-37, Isaiah 11. But King Solomon was not the promised one. He was a type of the Son of David but did not fulfill the conditions mentioned in the above references in their entirety. The Jews have been looking for their Messiah as the Son of David until this day (Matthew 22: 41-46).

All the Christians have been thinking for ages that these promises regarding the Son of David referred to Jesus Christ. But we know very well that Jesus was not of the physical seed of David. The Seed always comes through a man. Jesus was not of the seed of David. If Jesus had been of the physical seed of David, it would have been a sinful seed, and there is no hope for us through a sinful Blood. Moreover Jesus did not commit any iniquity. Jesus was born to a virgin, conceived of the Holy Ghost and therefore he could become a sinless sacrifice without blemish to take away our sins. The Word of God (Jehovah) came into Jesus and through the body of Jesus conquered death and hell. As Jesus went back into the Theophany, ascended on high and became one with God, God’s name changed from Jehovah to Jesus.

If Jesus was not of the seed of David, then who is this anointed Son of David that is to come and rule for ever and ever? It has to be one belonging to the physical line of David raised up in the last days into whom the Theophany or The Word (Jesus) has to descend so that God could be his Father. But the Word cannot descend in its fullness into a sinner born through sinful blood. Therefore God purifies and cleanses this person of the seed of David through the Blood of Jesus Christ which makes him Totally Pure and Sinless so that the Word or Theophany could descend into Him and incarnate in him. (How can one question the purity and righteousness of a man attained by the blood of Jesus Christ?).

To prove this, we have the answer in the Bible in Revelation 19:11-16. This Glorious Person mentioned herein is called the King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Verse 16). He is the anointed Son of David. Many people think this person is Jesus. If so Jesus’ name would have been given here. But no one seems to know the Name of this Great Person except He Himself (Verse 12). John the Apostle was seeing this vision and he could not know His name. Had it been Jehovah (Yahweh), John would have known it since he was a Jew. Had it been Jesus too (Yahshuah), he would have known it since he was a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Or was it written in an unknown language? I do not know.) But this name was New and entirely different. We do not know Jesus after the flesh anymore as He was transformed into Word or Theophany again.

Moreover if you notice in Verse 13, it says, “He was clothed with a vesture dipped in Blood: and his name is called the Word of God”. If we take the following questions into consideration, we will understand that this is not Jesus Christ but someone else.

1. Did Jesus die for himself?
2. Did He need Blood for a covering of sins?
3. Did He have to dip his vesture in His own Blood?

The answer is a simple “No” for each question. Jesus did not die for Himself but He died for others. Jesus did not need blood for a covering of sins since he was a sinless pure sacrifice and the fullness of Godhead dwelt in Him bodily. Nor did Jesus have to dip his vesture in His own Blood, as it is tantamount to dying for Himself. On the other hand, this Great Person, the King of Kings who was of the seed of David needed Blood to cover his sins and he was wearing the robe of righteousness dipped in the Blood of Jesus Christ, and His name was called the Word of God.

In other words, He was purified completely by the Blood of Jesus Christ, and was wearing an apparel dipped in Blood so that the fullness of the Word of God could come down into him, unite with him and dwell bodily and rule as the Son of David. Even according to Bro. William Branham "When our Lord appears here on earth, He'll be riding on a snow white horse, and He'll be completely, fully, the Emmanuel - The Word of God Incarnate In a man".

Here we see the Word becoming flesh, incarnating in a human being once again. Thus the Word gets the Title Son of David and this Son of David gets all the titles that belong to the Word. Just as Jesus could claim He was before Abraham etc., this person also will have claims on the past manifestations of the Word including Jesus Christ as it is the same Word working on Jesus as also today.

This fact is proved in Psalm 89:3-4. “I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant, Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations”. Then the prophecy continues about the chosen seed of David from verse 19 to verse 37. Let us analyze a few verses.

In Verse 26: This person hailing from the seed of David calls God His Father, and God promised David that He himself would be the father of the chosen seed of David. (Jesus called God as His Father.)

Then In Verse 27: “I will make him my firstborn higher than the kings of the earth”.
This Chosen seed of David comes many generations after David. But God says ”I will make him my First-Born”. The First Born is the Title of the Word, the Only Begotten Son, who was the Beginning of the creation of God. Normally a younger son can never become the eldest. This chosen seed of David comes several generations and ages later. For him to get the Title FIRST BORN, he has to become one with the Word who is the Firstborn. In other words, the fullness of the Word of God descends bodily into the chosen Son David and he gets all the titles belonging to the Word.

He is also higher than the Kings of the earth. This is the same King of Kings mentioned in Revelation 19:16.

Verse 29:”His seed also will I make to endure forever and his throne as the days of heaven.”

Those who were in the thoughts of God in His great plan of redemption are His seed because they will also become the Word or Theophany and endure forever since only His thoughts become the Word.

His throne endures as the days of heaven, because the heaven was created after the beginning by the Word. Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will pass away but my words shall never pass away”, because heaven and earth had a beginning. The Word did not have a beginning because He was the Beginning of the creation of God or the First-Born. The phrase “Pass Away” can also mean “Change”. Heaven and earth have been subject to many changes throughout the dispensations, but the Word never changes.

In verses 30-32, This Son of David has children and God punishes them for their transgressions. “If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments; If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments; Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes”. In this context, it is worth noting that Jesus was single and did not have any physical children.

Verse 33 and also 11 Samuel 7:14. “I will be his father, and he shall my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the stripes of the children of men”. This Son of David does not claim to be perfect to begin with since we are all conceived in sin and shaped in iniquity. King David himself mentions, “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me” (Psalm 51: 5). Only by the Blood of Jesus Christ He attains perfection. Though he looks imperfect in man’s sight, he is a saint in God’s sight seen through the Blood of Jesus Christ. God chastises him with the rod of men for his iniquities and with the stripes of children of men. But He overcomes the world by the Blood of Jesus Christ.
How do we find the chosen Son of David? This is a difficult question to answer. It can come only by Revelation. Let us take a few types from the Scriptures.

1. When Israel was in captivity in Egypt they were supposed to have a redeemer but none knew who it was. When the fullness of time came, God revealed it first to Moses and a message given to him so that he could take the people out of Egypt. The people also found his call to be scriptural.

2. How do we know that John the Baptist was the forerunner of Jesus Christ? The revelation of the ministry of John the Baptist came first to him and he called himself the Voice in the Wilderness. He had a message to prepare the people and only that message proved that he was the messenger. It was not possible for John the Baptist to be the messenger of Malachi 3 and some one else to have the first revelation of his message and vice versa. The message and the messenger are one. You cannot separate the message from the messenger. Jesus Christ confirmed and vindicated that he was the Elijah for those days.

3. In the temple, Jesus took the scroll and read from it. He was the messenger for that age with a message. When He took the scroll, He read from Isaiah the things concerning Himself and said, “This day this scripture is fulfilled” (Luke 4:16 - 21), even though none understood it. The revelation came to Him first and He passed on the message. Therefore it implies that one can find out the messenger only by the message He has.

4. If a certain message is given to a person, he is the messenger since the messenger and the message are inseparable. If Bro. Branham is the Elijah of Malachi 4, the Angel to the 7th Church age or the Forerunner to the Second coming of Christ, it is not because of any claim but because he had the message to prepare the people for the Lord and lead them back to the Word, taking all the loose ends and joining them.

5. Until this day, the whole Christendom has believed that Jesus was of the seed of David. But it was revealed to Bro. R. Paulaseer Lawrie that Jesus was not of the seed of David, but the seed conceived by the Holy Spirit and that the Word had to descend and unite with the true chosen Seed of David who had to be purified totally by the Blood of Jesus Christ.

6. A lot of things had happened during the first Moon-landing and God revealed to Bro. Lawrie that He would descend to the earth into him when man first landed on the moon. About that period, a Mount of Transfiguration incident also was reported. People may ask, “How do you know that Bro. R. P. Lawrie is of the tribe of Judah or of the lineage of David”?

Let us take an example from the Bible. We say that Jesus was born to a virgin, but how could you prove it? No one ever did see it nor did the people come to know about it openly since it was a sin unto death for a virgin to be found with child those days. But God gave Joseph to Mary for protection and only they could have divulged this secret to the inner circle in the ministry of Jesus Christ. But when the people accepted Jesus Christ they knew Him only by His Word, His message and His Power and not by the carnal manifestations.

In the same way, you can know the chosen person of God only by the Word revealed to him and through him and not by worldly records of genealogy. There are people who would not believe even if they were shown records of birth. It comes only by the revelation of the Word.
There were certain things emphasized time and again by Bro. William Branham. Some of the important points are given below.

1. The Voice from the Light that appeared at the river Ohio in 1933 which gave Bro. Branham the commission and confirmed his ministry as The Forerunner of the Second Coming of Christ.
2. God Never Changes His pattern and is immutable in His ways.
3. The Seed always comes through the man.
4. Tongues are Not the True Sign of the Holy Ghost.
5. The person filled with Holy Christ is bound to recognize the day, its message and the messenger.
6. God always raised up a man. Whatever He did, He did it through a man or He himself came down as a man.
7. The Messenger and the message are one and cannot be separated.
When I was in Canada in 1982, a friend of mine drew my attention to the fact that there are about twenty to thirty persons in the world claiming extraordinary powers assuming themselves to be Incarnations, Avatars, Bhagwans or Christs. One of them (Jim Jones) even had led about 900 people to their death. I was also asked how one could say that this Mr. R. P. Lawrie is the True Anointed one chosen at this End-time.

In Fact, the existence of numerous false ones proves the fact that there is a True one. The existence of counterfeit currencies only proves that there are original ones that came first. If Bro. William Branham of U.S.A had the ministry to forerun the Second Coming of Christ, he should have introduced the very person whose coming he was a forerunner to as John the Baptist baptized and introduced Jesus Christ to the World. This considerably reduces the number though there are about seven or more persons claiming to have their ministries founded on the ministry of Bro. Branham. But any such ministry will have to fulfill at least the following conditions, though there is a lot more to it.

1. The person concerned should have come through the ministry of Bro. Branham just as Jesus came through the ministry of John the Baptist (Matthew 3: 13-15, Mark 1: 9, John 1: 29-34).

2. He must have a New Message that compares with the rest of the Word from Genesis to Revelation.

3. If a person has the ministry of the Mighty Angel of Revelation 10, he must have the revelation of the Seven Thunders (Revelation 10: 1-7).

4. If a person is Christ, He must have the Revelation of God coming down into Him as Jesus did.

5. If a person is the Bridegroom, he must have the message to gather the Bride together and prepare her for the Rapturing Faith.

6. If a person is the King of Kings with the Voice of a Lion, he must have the Revelation and Message about the Son of David and the Kingdom (Isaiah 22: 22, Revelation 3: 7, 10: 3).

7. He must come from the East (Jerusalem is the centre of the world). Many other Religious books clearly point out that the End Time incarnation should rise from South India who will usher in the Dharmayuga or Age of Truth and Justice (millennium) and rule the world (Matthew 24: 27, Isaiah 41: 2, 46: 9-11).

8. Christ who is revealed in this age will bring the dead saints back to the earth from Paradise in resurrection. He will be glorified and transformed into life without death first so that those who believe in Him will attain immortality without death after Him (John 5: 24-27, John 11: 25-26, I Corinthians 15: 20-28, John 7: 39, 12: 16,23,28, 13: 31-32, 17:5, Revelation 12: 1-5).

9. He must be a person totally dependent on God who will also teach his followers to trust God for even the next meal (and not like the present day preachers who collect money with every conceivable excuse, to fill their pockets and making a mockery of God’s Word).

10. He will have the message of Jesus Christ “Leave everything and following me”.
Many people claim that they have received the Holy Spirit in fullness. They speak in tongues. They prophesy, cast out devils, heal the sick in Jesus name and work miracles. But you must understand that the devils too speak in tongues. The devils also can act like Holy Spirit filled people, because he too is transformed into an angel of light (II Corinthians 11:13-15). When Moses did miracles, the magicians of Egypt also worked miracles. The disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ were able to cast out the devils. On the other hand, the children of the denominations of Pharisees and Sadducees too could cast out the devils (Luke 11:19). Therefore it behooves us to find out what really is the True sign of the fullness of the Holy Ghost. Jesus said that he would send us the comforter the Holy Ghost who will guide us into all the Truth. The Word of God is the Truth.

When I was in England, a precious sister was arguing with me. She said that The Tongues was the sign of the Holy Ghost. I told her that in India I had seen even the devil-possessed speaking in tongues. Then she asked me what then the true sign of the Holy Spirit was. I told her that if one had the Holy Ghost, he would be led to the knowledge of the Truth. Then again she asked me if it was that when she took the Bible, would not the Holy Spirit reveal to her everything. I said “No”. I explained to her that God raised up a man every age and gave him the Word for that age. Those who had the Holy Ghost recognized him and his message and followed his line. She argued that it was only in the Old Testament that the Word came to the prophet. I explained to her that whenever the church was almost dead with tradition and dogmas God raised up men like Martin Luther, John Wesley etc. and gave them a message for their respective periods of time. All those who had the Spirit of God toed the line of Martin Luther and came out of Catholicism. God raised up a man every time and never a dead denomination.
Let us prove this point from the Scriptures. God is a Spirit. God is also the Word. The Spirit always leads to the Word. This is even confirmed by the parable of the Ten Virgins and the Oil (Matthew 25: 1-13). Five of them were wise and five were foolish. They all took their lamps and went forth to meet the bridegroom. The wise took their lamps and also extra oil in a separate vessel. The foolish took their lamps but did not take extra oil with them. The foolish virgins had some oil in their lamps only. Because they had been burning for sometime their lamps had gone out when the awakening call came (Verse 8).

Oil represents the Holy Spirit. The foolish virgins had a little touch of the Holy Spirit whereas the wise virgins had the fullness of the Holy Spirit. They all were waiting for the Bridegroom. At midnight there was a cry made, “Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him” (verse 6). This is similar to the cry made by John the Baptist, “Behold the Lamb of God” (John 1: 29, 36). John the Baptist was the Forerunner, Elijah and the last earthly messenger before the Son of God arrived on the scene at His First Coming.

In this age too there is a Forerunner, The Elijah of Malachi 4 and the Last Church Age Messenger before the Son of Man arrives on the scene for the Second Coming. Brother William Branham, the Prophet had the Elijah message to turn the people back to the Word in this Last (7th) Church Age and to prepare the hearts of the people for the Second Coming of Christ. His messages crying out, “Behold, the Bridegroom Cometh” were pointing out to a Great Person coming after him and whom also he had baptized.

The wise virgins had enough oil in their lamps to receive the Bridegroom when he came. The foolish did not have enough oil and were therefore cast into outer darkness. Taking for example the days of Jesus, we can take Jesus to be the Bridegroom. The disciples and followers of Jesus Christ were the wise virgins. But the denominational Jews, the Scribes, the Sadducees and the Pharisees were the foolish virgins. Both had oil. The disciples of Jesus cast out the devils, healed the sick, prophesied, worked miracles etc. The denominational children also cast out devils and claimed to possess the power of God. They had Bethesda Pool too for healing John 5: 1-4). The High Priest Caiaphas too prophesied concerning the death of Jesus (John 11: 47-52). But the difference in them was that the disciples had enough Holy Spirit to recognize the call and receive the Bridegroom Jesus when He came. But the other Jews who were the foolish virgins missed the Bridegroom and were cast aside into the outer darkness of tribulation for nearly 2000 years and were persecuted.

Similarly, the people today who have the fullness of the Holy Spirit recognize and receive the Son of Man. But, the denominational people who are the foolish virgins also cast out devils, pray for sick, prophesy, speak in tongues etc, and yet because they do not have the fullness of the Spirit they do not recognize the Son of Man, but do miss Him. They will be cast out into the outer darkness of the Great Tribulation. Therefore we can infer that the True Sign of the Holy Ghost is recognizing the Word of God sent for the age through his messenger or in other words; it is recognizing the day, its message and the messenger.

What does Jesus himself say? Please turn to John 6:28-29. “Then said they unto him, what shall we do, that we might work the works of God?”(Verse 28). “Jesus answered and said unto them, this is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent” (Verse 29).

People asked Jesus Christ what they should do to work the works of God or in other words what would be the works of the Holy Spirit in a person. Jesus answered and said the work of God was to believe on him whom He hath sent (the messenger). In other words, the work of the Spirit of God is to recognize the messenger of the day and believe his message.

There are many other things God has given us in His Word connected with this message and may He reveal them all to us. May the Presence of God be with you as you enjoy the Blessings from the Word of God.

If you have found this message to be a blessing, kindly pass it on to your friends and loved ones.
